Potty Training...

Ok, it's starting! Lila has shown quite a bit of interest in the potty. I take her in with me every time I go, and most of the time she gets mad when I sit down, because she wants to be the one to sit down. She is starting to get the lingo down too. I decided to get her a soft cushion seat that sits right on the normal seat. When we got home yesterday she sat right on it. I kept asking her if she was done and she would say "no". She was very content to just sit there. (and keep on wiping, lol it's her favorite part) While she is sitting there she likes to grab toilet paper and wipe everything around her too. LOL. So, this is a brand new adventure. I am not in any hurry to potty train her. If it takes some time that is fine with me. I don't want to hold her back either obviously. I have read a few articles on how to do it. I'm sure it's different in practice.

I felt so bad. late last night after our prayers, Lila went running in the bathroom and all of a sudden we hear a scream and cry. She was trying to lift the lid on the toilet to put her seat back on and the lid came down on her and caught her face and landed on her wrist. Poor thing was crying big tears. She felt better when I sat her back on her potty and let her wipe her own tears, nose, and anything else she could wipe. :)

Brian Regan... So Freakin' Funny!

Brent and I went on a date Wednesday night to see Brian Regan. He is a stand up comedian that we love a lot. His humor is clean which we really appreciate. He typically jokes about every day events. If I can figure out a way to add a clip or a YouTube video I will. If not, you should definately look him up. The show was about 2 hours long. He had a guy open for him, and that guy was good too. Brian was up there for most of the time. I was laughing so hard and so much that I was exhausted from laughing. I didn't want to laugh anymore. LOL.

Thanksgiving Point Farm

We went on a family outing to Thanksgiving Point Farm. Lila has been a few times with Sandy already, but this was Brent's and my first time there. Lila was really nervous at first, but after we went around once we tried it again and she was much more relaxed. Grant and Sandy met us there for our second time around. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of them this time. We saw goats, lamas, cows, all kinds of chickens, roosters, turkeys, horses (Clydesdale's), mini ponies, bunnies, ducks, etc. Lila's favorite by far were the bunnies. They were so stinking cute and fuzzy. It made me want to get her one for Easter, but we won't!!!! She kept shouting BUNNY, BUNNY! and running over to where their cages were. She loved the ducks a lot too. I was shocked when she pet the huge Clydesdale's with Brent.

The Clydesdale's were really cool. There were a set that looked like twins. They even had moustaches if you can believe that. I will post a picture of it because I have never seen a moustache on a horse.
We all had a fun time. It's so neat to see her learning about her world. I love watching her react. Speaking of her reacting, I am sure you guys will get a kick out of how she reacted to the pony ride. :)

Other Cute Photos

Lila The Photographer

I let Lila use my nice digital camera to take a few pictures. She gets so psyched pushing the button. It's really cute. Here are some samples of her work. :)

Cute New Hair Do

I know I mentioned this recently, but Lila's hair is getting so long! Here are some pictures of her hair from a few days ago. It looked so cute. You can see as I got out the camera to take her picture, she went behind the door and tried to close it on me. I really wish I could capture her personality in photos. Every time I get out the cameras she stops what she is doing, she always has.

Chocolate Face

Brent took these pictures of Lila. She had just finished a banana spread with Nutella. I don't know if you have ever tried this combination, but if you haven't, you should. Dang good!

March.... I think that's a nice enough title.

When I first moved to Utah Sandy would tell me how much she loved Spring. I didn't want to hear it. I told her it's because Winter is so horrible. I don't know if I was right or if she was right. Maybe Spring is just beautiful, and it would be that way whether Winter stunk or not. It's not even Spring yet and I am so excited about it. Maybe I have been here too long, or maybe it has everything to do with hating Winter so much. Regardless, I'm psyched! :) I love the pretty pastel Easter colors that have filled the stores. I love the thought of Easter coming soon. I can't wait to see the flowers and trees start to bud and bloom. The outdoor temperature read 56 in my car today!
Sidewalk Chalk:
Since it was so nice out today Danny and I decided to go to the Dollar Store and get Lila some sidewalk chalk. She had a lot of fun with it. Danny and I made some awesome sidewalk art. Lila went nuts over Danny's duck. In fact hours later she is still talking about it. She has been asking to go back out all afternoon.
